Welcome to Painting Spell and the web page for the art of George La Mont. George
paints and instructs in the Tallahassee/Crawfordville, Florida area. Check the “Classes”
page for information on current classes. The gallery page shows some of George’s
oil paintings, simply click on any of the thumbnails to enlarge for better viewing.
Your inquiries are welcome concerning the availability for sale of any of the paintings.
In 2009, George completed the Alexander Art Instructor Certification program (ACI).
This certification allows George to teach the oil painting methods of William Alexander.
William Alexander taught so many people, through his television series that anyone
is capable of achieving the enjoyment of painting.
In November 2010, George was awarded instructor certification by internationally
recognized artist Dorothy Dent. Instruction will be offered in Dorothy’s style of
painting.

distribution list. List members will be the first to receive notices and updates
such as the featured painting of the month. Students are welcome to choose the painting
they want and are not restricted to the featured painting.
